I need a sound card for my Acer laptop. I made attempt to download the drivers from the net but I couldnt get that as drivers are available by names. At the back of the laptop, the model number is stated as “Green733″ while online Acer laptops are classed as either travelmate, Aspire,Notebooks or tablet PCs. Or are there universally accepted drivers? Just in case anyone has a similar type, my laptop has a 17 inch screen. Next to the screen sits three extra silver buttons just before “F1 to F12″ numbering on the keyboard (labels are 1. i, 2. the on/off button (biggest one) 3. Letter shape to indicated email). The laptop comes with a DVD drive, 2 USB port, 2 serial ports (1 big, 1 small), an internal microphone, port for network card, network ports (one behind the screen for lan, while the other next to the DVD drive for dail-up),infra-red port and inlets for microphone and speakers. Any suggestions?

Google for a program called Aida32 or Belarc advisor.
They will give you complete info on your system.
so what do u want a sound card or a driver. its really hard to understand what you need

global.acer.com or maybe just acer.com
The link below is the only place were you can get the on board sound card driver for your Acer laptop,locate the model number of your laptop and then go to the control panel then to system and maintenance then to the device manager locate the sound and video devices that will show you the type of on board sound card you have then download it from the link below.If you want o add a new sound card the only thing you can do on a laptop is buy an external one, you can not add a internal sound card to a laptop.
Please read what is written just below the screen , the model no of the laptop is mentioned there or above the keyboard .
